Haryana Approves 36-Km Extension of Gurugram Metro
The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) has approved the draft Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the much-anticipated 36-kilometer extension of the Gurugram Metro, connecting Sector-56 to Pachgaon. This ambitious project is expected to significantly boost connectivity across Gurugram’s key residential, commercial, and industrial zones.

•The proposed metro line will span 36 kilometers with a total of 28 elevated stations.

•Sector-56
•Golf Course Extension Road
•Southern Peripheral Road (SPR)
•Central Peripheral Road (CPR)
•Dwarka Expressway sectors
•Kherki Daula
•IMT Manesar
•Pachgaon
2.Connectivity and Interchanges:
•The extension will integrate with other metro lines and transit systems:
•Vatika Chowk: Interchange with the proposed Bhondsi–Old Gurugram metro line.
•Kherki Daula: Interchange with the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS).
3.Cost and Funding:
•The estimated cost of the project is ₹8,500 crore.
•The Haryana Government is exploring options to fund the project independently without relying on central government funds.
4.Development and Impact:
•The DPR has been prepared by RITES (Rail India Technical and Economic Service).
•It includes environmental and social impact assessments to ensure sustainable development.
